IT TECH ANALYST (Full-Time)

IT Tech Analysts will support all County offices located at multiple physical locations and require a high level of accountability and responsibility in handling sensitive information and critical County offices. Activities associated with the job include assisting with troubleshooting and resolving network infrastructure issues, maintaining various software programs and systems, computer hardware/software issues and deployments, managing and maintaining technology inventory and asset management, mobile device management and support, audio and video support for meetings, and end-user customer support and technical assistance to Marshall County employees and elected officials. Information Technology Tech Analysts are the first point of contact for all technical issues, including but not limited to network, computer, mobile, and software issues.

IT TECH ANALYST (Full-Time)

IT Tech Analysts will support all County offices located at multiple physical locations and require a high level of accountability and responsibility in handling sensitive information and critical County offices. Activities associated with the job include assisting with troubleshooting and resolving network infrastructure issues, maintaining various software programs and systems, computer hardware/software issues and deployments, managing and maintaining technology inventory and asset management, mobile device management and support, audio and video support for meetings, and end-user customer support and technical assistance to Marshall County employees and elected officials. Information Technology Tech Analysts are the first point of contact for all technical issues, including but not limited to network, computer, mobile, and software issues.
- Able to provide customer and technical support over the phone, email, in-person, and remotely to all County employees and Elected Officials.
- Able to set up, move, diagnose, and repair computer systems (desktop, laptops, and servers), printers, projectors, mobile devices, and other technology equipment for departments and users.
- Able to provide exceptional customer service to all users and officials while being able to communicate with users about delays, repairs, or options.
- Able to manage and inventory Marshall County Government technology equipment.
- Able to communicate with vendor technical support contacts to resolve issues or concerns.
- Able to maintain accurate documentation for configurations, software, issues, solutions, and installations.
- Able to install and terminate Ethernet cabling
Necessary Requirements of Work
- Able to comply with all Marshall County policies and procedures.
- Graduated with an accredited High School diploma or GED
- CompTIA A+ CE Certificate (or equivalent certification or education)
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen before employment.
- Valid Driver’s license
Necessary Special Requirements
- Experience with basic computer, printer, and software installation, troubleshooting, and configuration.
- Basic understanding and experience with cybersecurity software, processes, and policies.
- Experience and understanding of basic IT networking and networking components.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, customer service, time management, and problem-solving skills.
